Great to meet you!

I believe one of the most important parts of therapy is finding someone you feel comfortable being yourself with. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Art Therapist with nearly 20 years of experience working with children, teens, and adults. I hold graduate degrees in Counseling Psychology and Art Therapy and have additional training in trauma-informed and expressive approaches.

Throughout my career, I’ve supported people navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves. I bring warmth, curiosity, creativity, and a genuine appreciation for each person’s individual story into the work we do together.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, creative, and collaborative. I don’t believe therapy should feel like a one-size-fits-all process, so I tailor our work to who you are, what you’re experiencing, and what feels meaningful to you.

My work is grounded in person-centered, trauma-informed, and expressive approaches, with elements of mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, DBT, and other evidence-based practices when helpful. As an Art Therapist, I can also incorporate creativity and expressive techniques when they support the work—but you never need to consider yourself artistic or make art in therapy.

Above all, I want therapy to be a space where you can slow down, understand yourself more deeply, recognize your strengths, and discover new ways of moving through the things that feel difficult.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know one another. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what has been feeling difficult lately, and what you hope might be different as a result of our work together. We’ll also talk about your history, strengths, important relationships, and anything else that helps me understand you as a whole person.

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to work on or how to explain everything you’re feeling. We can figure that out together. I’ll answer any questions you have about therapy and we’ll begin identifying what you’d like to focus on moving forward. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling heard, understood, and a little clearer about where we can go from here.
