Great to meet you!

I have the training and experience but during sessions, you will never feel as if you are being judged or analyzed. I believe we are all human and we can't ignore that the main key to being a human is empathy. I earned my Master of Science in Marriage Family Counseling Therapy from Capella University in 2017 but my experience in the counseling profession began in 2007. My experience range in settings from community, in-home, classrooms, and corporations, to private practice.

A bit about my approach to therapy

You are the expert of your life. I like to incorporate person-centered and solution focused approaches when working with clients, providing a holistic perspective of mind, body, and spirit. We are a part of a system that includes what is going on internally as well as externally. We will explore all parts to determine how to get it back in sync.

What you can expect from our first session

We explored your way of thinking and how it impacts your quality of life. We cannot control anyone or anything but ourselves. We will discover ways to regain your sense of control to usher in acceptance and peace of mind.

Melanie's style is
