Great to meet you!

I am a triple board-certified, doctorally prepared nurse practitioner with certifications in acute care, family health, and psychiatric-mental health. I believe mental health care works best when you feel comfortable being yourself and having honest conversations with your provider. My style is warm, approachable, and down-to-earth, and I strive to create a space where you can speak openly without feeling judged or rushed.

I’m genuinely interested in understanding you beyond a diagnosis—what you’ve been experiencing, what matters to you, what has or hasn’t worked in the past, and what you hope will be different. Medication can be an important part of treatment, but I don’t believe every concern has a prescription as its only answer. We’ll look at the bigger picture and work together to determine what makes the most sense for you.

I value transparency, realistic goals, and shared decision-making. I’ll be straightforward with you, explain the reasoning behind my recommendations, and encourage you to ask questions. And while mental health is serious, our conversations don’t always have to feel heavy—there’s room for personality, warmth, and humor too.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is evidence-based, collaborative, and individualized to you. I believe you are the expert on your own experiences, and my role is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, provide clinical guidance, and help you make informed decisions about your mental health.

I’m open-minded and solution-focused, with an emphasis on identifying practical strategies that can improve how you feel and function in everyday life. I want you to understand your treatment options—including the benefits, risks, and alternatives—so that we can make decisions together rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

You can also expect our visits to feel human. I value honesty, curiosity, and humor when appropriate, and I strive to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where you can be yourself. My goal is for you to leave our sessions feeling heard, empowered, and equipped with a clear plan for moving forward.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is centered around listening, learning, and understanding your unique story. We’ll spend time discussing your current concerns, symptoms, experiences, medical and mental health history, previous treatments, and what you hope to achieve through care.

My goal is to understand you as an individual, not simply a diagnosis. We’ll discuss your priorities and treatment goals so I can provide thoughtful, evidence-based recommendations tailored to your needs. I encourage questions and open conversation, and together we’ll begin developing a treatment plan that feels realistic, collaborative, and aligned with what matters most to you.
