Great to meet you!

Helping children, caregivers, and families build resilience, strengthen relationships, and find hope through every season of life.

Seeking therapy takes courage, and finding the right therapist is an important first step. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered as we work together toward healing and growth.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 20 years of experience in education and child development. My approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. I believe every person has the capacity for resilience, and together we'll build practical skills that create meaningful, lasting change.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, life transitions, emotional regulation challenges, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, caregiver stress, chronic illness, and self-esteem concerns. As a play therapist-informed clinician, I use developmentally appropriate, play-based interventions to help young children express emotions, develop coping skills, and strengthen relationships.

For adolescents and adults, I integrate evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals. I believe therapy should be compassionate, practical, and focused on helping you apply new insights in everyday life.

As both a therapist and an educator, I understand the challenges of balancing family, work, relationships, caregiving, and personal well-being. Whether you're seeking support for your child, navigating your own life transitions, or looking for guidance as a parent or caregiver, I strive to provide a space where you feel understood, respected, and equipped to move forward with confidence.

Healing doesn't require perfection—it begins with taking one courageous step at a time.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is not about "fixing" people—it's about creating a safe, supportive space where healing, growth, and lasting change can happen. Every person has a unique story, so I tailor treatment to each client's needs, strengths, goals, and stage of life.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based. I strive to build a trusting relationship where clients feel comfortable being themselves while also feeling gently challenged to move toward the life they want. Together, we'll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical coping strategies, and build on the strengths you already possess.

Depending on your goals, I may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed care, and play-based interventions for young children. With children, I use play as their natural language to help them express emotions, process experiences, and develop healthy coping skills. With adolescents and adults, I focus on increasing self-awareness, strengthening emotional regulation, improving relationships, and helping clients feel more confident navigating life's challenges.

I view therapy as a partnership. My role is to provide guidance, support, and evidence-based tools while honoring your experiences, values, and pace. Whether we're working through anxiety, parenting challenges, trauma, caregiver stress, life transitions, or emotional overwhelm, my hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, encouraged, and equipped with strategies you can use beyond the therapy room.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another in a welcoming, judgment-free environment. My priority is helping you feel comfortable and heard as you share what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve.

We'll talk about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths, and any challenges that may be affecting your daily life. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, but there's no pressure to share more than you're ready for. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Together, we'll begin identifying your goals for therapy and discuss a treatment plan that reflects your unique needs. I'll answer any questions you have about the therapy process and explain how we'll work together moving forward.

If I'm meeting with your child, the first session also focuses on building trust and helping them feel safe. Depending on your child's age and needs, we may use play, art, conversation, or other developmentally appropriate activities to begin forming a connection. I also partner closely with caregivers, because meaningful progress happens when children feel supported both in and outside of therapy.

My hope is that you'll leave your first session feeling understood, supported, and hopeful—with a clearer picture of where you are, where you'd like to go, and how we'll work together to help you get there.
