Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Melanie.

Do you often put others first, say yes when you want to say no, or feel overwhelmed by expectations? I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, and major life transitions. Many of my clients identify as people-pleasers who struggle with boundaries, self-doubt, or guilt—and want to feel more confident prioritizing themselves.

As an Asian-American woman, I bring a culturally informed, compassionate perspective. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your emotions, clarify your goals, and build practical tools for real change.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy and collaboration. I integrate various modalities to meet your individual needs, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to reframe negative thoughts
  • Mindfulness practices to foster presence and reduce anxiety
  • Psychodynamic techniques to explore deeper emotions and early experiences
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy to strengthen emotional regulation

By drawing on these approaches, I tailor each session to align with your unique goals and challenges.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I’ll take the time to understand your story, explore what brought you to therapy, and clarify your goals. I meet you where you are, moving at your pace, and support you in building tools that help you manage stress, relationships, and life transitions more effectively.

I’m licensed in California and have 9 years of experience helping adults from diverse backgrounds. I accept multiple insurance plans and offer both in-person and online sessions. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey toward well-being!
