Life can be hard sometimes, but some times are harder than others. While everyone responds to stressors differently, there is one thing we all have in common; we all have the need to feel seen, heard and understood. Through a careful integration of evidence-based psychotherapy within a relational-cultural framework, I will work with you to live a value-driven life that courageously approaches, rather than avoids, emotion.

Upon the foundation of growth-fostering relationships, real work can be done in therapy. I’m a firm believer that science and research should inform the work I do. I have received therapist and trainer level certification in the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders (UP) from Boston University’s Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders. Additionally, I am a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist & Supervisor (CEDS-S).

If I had to boil down my treatment philosophy into just a few words, it would be:

Psychotherapy research has long revealed that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is as important, if not more important, than the type of therapy used in predicting success in therapy. The most tangible way to measure success in therapy is through the metrics of growth and change.
