Melanie Smith

I have been working as a professional counselor since January 2011, and licensed as an LPC since 2014. I enjoy working with children ages 4-18 with behavior disorders and trauma. I have worked in school settings, private practice, and behavior therapy clinics. I have developed a passion for working with children experiencing behavior from trauma. Children need to be able to process through the trauma before they can learn to control the behavior.

I believe that the client is in control of their own healing and progress. I am here to provide insight, challenge current thought processes, and develop coping skills that will work for each individual.

I am here to listen and help client's work through challenging times. We will work together to find what works best for the client and develop goals that are in line with what they need in their own life.
