Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Melany Rahming. I have a master's degree in Marriage and Family Counseling as well as a master's in education degree in School Counseling. I have over 30 years working in public schools and several years working in a therapy setting working with children and families. Specifically, my experience as a counselor has been in working with individuals, and families. I have experience working with children, teens, young adults, older adult women and families.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered. Person-centered is a non-directive, guided approach that allows clients to discover the solution that works best for them. Another therapeutic approach frequently practiced is cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). This counseling approach allows clients to make meaningful connections between thoughts and emotions during the therapeutic process.

What you can expect from me

During sessions, clients can expect a safe space, active listening, non-judgmental environment, and take-home tools to practice between sessions that improve emotional and mental wellness
