Great to meet you!

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of experience in behavioral health, including more than a decade as a psychiatric registered nurse. I earned my post-master’s certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and hold a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nursing Education from the University of Detroit Mercy.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds in outpatient, residential, correctional, and community-based settings. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, PTSD, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders.

I believe mental health care should be collaborative, respectful, and individualized. My goal is to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understand your treatment options, and feel empowered to take an active role in your mental health and overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I take time to listen and understand your concerns, experiences, and goals rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis. Together, we develop a treatment plan that may include medication management, education, supportive interventions, and practical strategies to improve your overall well-being. I value open communication and shared decision-making, ensuring you understand your treatment options and feel comfortable participating in decisions about your care.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we’ll take time to get to know you beyond your symptoms. We’ll discuss your current concerns, mental health and medical history, medications, life experiences, and treatment goals. I’ll ask questions to better understand what you’re experiencing and how it is affecting your daily life. Together, we’ll discuss potential diagnoses and treatment options and develop a plan that feels realistic and comfortable for you. My goal is for you to leave your first visit feeling heard, supported, and clear about the next steps in your care.
