Great to meet you!

I'm Melinda Ali, a LCSW with a Master's in Social Work from UNLV and 19 years of experience in public service and the healing arts. Before becoming a therapist, I taught internationally in Thailand, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, and Ecuador. Now, I call the West Coast home, where I live with my family and our beloved pup. I love travel, strong coffee, rich food, and meaningful conversations. I’m honored when clients trust me with their vulnerabilities and what truly matters to them.

My approach to therapy

In my practice, I help people break free from the shackles of their minds, teaching them how to accept, feel, and manage the tricky emotions and thoughts that can keep us all spinning. I use a blend of serious, evidence-based methods and a little humor to help clients step back and see things from a different perspective. After all, sometimes laughing at the absurdity of our thoughts is the best way to defuse their power.

What you can expect from me

In our therapy sessions, you'll gain practical tools and insights to help you manage your thoughts and emotions more effectively. You'll learn how to accept and navigate challenging feelings, build resilience, and develop healthier ways of thinking. We’ll use humor to help you defuse the power of negative thoughts. Ultimately, you'll leave each session feeling more empowered, supported, and better equipped to handle life's ups and downs with greater ease and confidence.
