Great to meet you!

I’m Melisa, and I enjoy connecting with people. I received my Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. That doesn’t mean I’ve got to incorporate the Bible into sessions, it does mean that I can. My goal is to help you become the best you, that you can be. I’m a person-centered therapist meaning I believe you have some idea of where you’d like to go and I’m just a GPS that gives you a number of routes to reach your destination. I believe we can get there, together.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Relationships play a big role in who we are and who we will be. My person-centered approach always looks back, forward, and around to determine how we should proceed. I use motivational interviewing to encourage setting healthy boundaries and taking steps to focus on self care.

What you can expect from our first session

You can expect a safe environment, obtainable goals reached through objectives lined out in a personalized treatment plan.
