Great to meet you!

I am Utah based, board certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I graduated from the University of Utah with my Doctoral Degree in Psychiatric Nursing Practice in 2020. As well as treating depression, anxiety, psychosis and substance use issues, I have engaged in further training in Trauma and ADHD Disorders. I schedule in-person appointments for each client intake, but after this initial appointment I can offer either in-person or telehealth appointments (or a mix of both) with clients (dependent on client preference and medical need for physical assessements).

The services I offer clients include; psychotropic medication management, psychotherapy and psychoeducation of illness, medications, and treatment approaches.

My approach to therapy

I believe that I have done a good job helping my clients when I have worked my way out of a job with them. If they feel stable, able to function well in their lives, have effective coping skills for life's "wobbles", and are on the lowest to no dose necessary of medications, then I will feel we have done good work together.

My hope is to get my clients to a place where they may check in with me minimally (2-3 times a year) for refills if on medication, or require so few changes that their primary care physician feels comfortable managing their medications.

However, I continue to be available if patients wish to return to my service for focused therapy to manage major life or relationship changes, or if they require over time medications to be adjusted or changed.

What you can expect from me

For any healthcare provider to be effective at helping a client, it is important to build trust. At a first session, I take time to get to know what is most important to my clients, take a detailed history of their issues, and then we can begin to collaborate on a plan to get them where they want to go.
