Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Melissa and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 10 years of experience serving diverse populations. I've worked with individuals and families involved in foster care and adoption, people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, and individuals living with chronic kidney disease.

I earned my Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and specialize in adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and chronic illness.

I'm also passionate about the connection between physical and mental health and believe that movement, exercise, and nutrition can play an important role in overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative and personalized because I believe therapy should fit your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness-based techniques, I like to help individuals explore challenges at their own pace and develop lasting tools that can help them overcome life's greatest challenges.

What you can expect from me

You can expect our session to be a place where you feel heard, respected, and encouraged to grow at your own pace. My hope is that therapy becomes not just a place to process life's challenges, but a place where you gain confidence, deepen your understanding of yourself, and discover new ways of moving forward with intention and resilience.
