Great to meet you!

Thank you for considering me as your therapist! I have been working with individuals in therapeutic settings since 2012. I have experience working in both inpatient crisis settings and outpatient offices. Although I have completed training in various areas of therapy, I prefer using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in combination with Somatic practices that bring the body and mind together in the session. I am actively seeking continued education in the field of Polyvagal Theory to integrate my practice.

My approach to therapy

As someone who has been on both sides of therapy as a client and a therapist, I have experienced some of the limitations of counseling. That is why I designed my practice to be one that aligns the whole person. We don't only focus on your thoughts and feelings, we explore what your physical body is experiencing too! Our body needs support just as much as our mind does. If you have been feeling exhausted, unable to "catch a break", or feel burnt out, my approach may be for you!

What you can expect from me

The first session is a way for us to explore why you are seeking counseling and how we can increase your quality of life. We aren't simply looking to "fix"something. We are looking at your experience from a place of curiosity and compassion. You aren't "broken", and together we can find out what you truly need to thrive. Our goals will be set around the areas of concern, focused on setting clear and obtainable results. Our time together is meant to provide you with a safe place to explore the most uncomfortable areas of your life and engage in skills that make the discomfort more manageable.
