Great to meet you!

I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Kansas and have been in practice as a licensed psychologist for over 23 years. I have worked in a variety of settings with diverse clientele; I treat adults ages 21+ presenting with a wide range of issues, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, grief, identity development, ADHD, relationship problems, cultural issues, and chronic health difficulties.

My approach to therapy

I am trained as a generalist and have an eclectic approach to therapy with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. I use various therapeutic approaches to individualize treatment to each client and their unique goals. I work with clients to help them understand the nuanced connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors through the lens of CBT; I also integrate mindfulness, relaxation, and meditation into therapy sessions.

What you can expect from me

I work with clients on increasing insight and self-esteem; improving relationship and communication skills; strengthening coping skills; and focusing on self-care. I help clients to develop and practice specific, solution-oriented skills to assist them in reaching their mental health treatment goals.
