Great to meet you!

My journey as a therapist began over 20 years ago. Inspired by human resiliency and compassion, I set out to help others move through the hardest parts of life. I've learned that when given the opportunity and the tools, we all can change our lives for the better. It is my privilege to be the one to help you do this.

I began practicing as a therapist because I wanted to help people the hardest times of life. Whether you struggle with anxiety or depression, grief and loss, chronic stress, or the pains of new parenthood, I am here to support you in healing past wounds and change present self-defeating patterns, so that you may live a more peaceful, joyful, creative and connected life.

My approach to therapy

We will utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to help you eliminate self-defeating thoughts and replace them with healthier ones. We will also draw from mindfulness tools and expressive arts therapy to help further healing and growth. The goal is to provide practical tools for managing anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma while improving well-being.

Our communication is important. Through active listening and empathy, I will provide a safe, supportive space to face challenges and explore painful issues. It's my goal to create a therapeutic container for us to explore your thoughts and feelings openly, with patience and compassion.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be time for us to get to know each other and begin to build the therapeutic bond that will support your goals for therapy. Therapy is a journey we take together. As we sit in the space, facing aspects of the self that may be scary or painful, I help you set achievable goals. Whether that is to improve self-esteem, lower stress, or learning to better regulate your emotions, we work towards this through a shared strategy and plan.
