Great to meet you!

Hi, and welcome to my page! As a licensed mental health professional, I have experience in treating individuals with anxiety, depression, and addictive behaviors.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the framework for which I conduct sessions; this approach helps you to understand maladaptive thought patterns whilst learning coping skills to overcome them.

Further, my academic experience at NYU was an integral part of shaping my career as a therapist; through coursework, internship experiences, and my own personal development, I was able to graduate with understanding of what "mental health and wellness" truly means to individuals seeking help.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe that mental well-being as promoted in therapy is improved through creating a safe, judgment-free space to express concerns, develop coping skills, and explore thoughts and feelings that contribute to our moods. I'm here to provide that space and help you navigate this explorative journey!

If you choose to schedule an appointment, I will send my practice's consent forms to the email on file.

You can also schedule an appointment/consultation via my website, www.melissadtherapy.com.
