Great to meet you!

Sometimes you know something needs to change, but understanding why you feel stuck is the harder part. Anxiety may keep you constantly on edge, depression can make it difficult to feel like yourself, or trauma may continue affecting your relationships, emotions, and sense of safety long after the original experience has passed. You may also be navigating grief, major health changes, motherhood, family stress, or a season of life that has left you questioning what comes next.

I work with adults and older adults through individual and family therapy, with a focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and women’s mental health. I also support clients navigating bipolar disorder, grief and loss, maternal mental health, chronic or physical health conditions, relationship and family concerns, identity issues, men’s mental health, and end-of-life transitions.

With 10 years of experience, my goal is to create a space where you feel understood while also helping you look honestly at the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Therapy with me is supportive, but it is also active. We will work toward helping you feel more grounded, more confident in yourself, and better equipped to move forward.

My approach to therapy

I believe insight is important, but insight becomes most useful when it leads to meaningful change. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to what you need. We may explore past experiences, attachment patterns, relationships, emotions, or beliefs that continue to influence how you respond to life today while also building practical skills for the present.

When trauma or distressing experiences continue to feel unresolved, I may use EMDR to help your brain process those memories in a different way. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to identify thoughts and behaviors that reinforce anxiety or depression, Psychodynamic Therapy to explore deeper emotional patterns, and Attachment-Based approaches to better understand how earlier relationships may influence the way you connect with yourself and others now.

I may also incorporate Strength-Based, Humanistic, Experiential, and Solution-Focused approaches depending on your goals. When family relationships are an important part of the work, I can draw from Cognitive Behavioral Family Therapy and Attachment-Based Family Therapy to help improve communication, understanding, and connection.

My role is not simply to agree with you. I will support you, ask questions, offer perspective, and challenge you when I believe doing so can help you grow.

What you can expect from me

You do not have to come into therapy with the perfect explanation for what is wrong. We can start with what feels hardest right now. During our first few sessions, we will talk about what brought you in, what has been affecting you lately, what you have already tried, and what you hope could feel different.

Together, we will identify goals and decide where it makes the most sense to begin. You can expect me to be direct, empowering, and appropriately challenging, while still creating a space where you can be honest without feeling judged.

Progress may look like feeling less controlled by trauma or anxiety, reconnecting with yourself during depression, processing grief, navigating motherhood or health changes with more support, strengthening relationships, understanding long-standing patterns, or setting boundaries that better reflect what you need.

My hope is that therapy helps you understand yourself more deeply while giving you the confidence and tools to make changes that last.
