Great to meet you!

I have served as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for 18 years. My experience includes private practice and outpatient. I have a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology, and a Doctorate degree in Community Care and Counseling: Marriage and Family Counseling from Liberty University. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, Bipolar, relationship issues, parenting problems, grief and loss, gender identity, OCD, trauma, and ADHD.

My approach to therapy

My counseling style is warm, direct, and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, existential, and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor your treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

What you can expect from me

The first goal in counseling is to learn how to manage those feelings which may be very intense, such as anger, fear, shock, and anxiety. I ask clients to agree to certain guidelines which may help them begin to feel some relief and hope. During the next phase, we will begin to develop a trustworthy working relationship and focus on your treatment plan goals. It takes courage to pursue a more fulfilling and happier life. I am here to support, to encourage, and to empower you on that journey.
