Great to meet you!

I earned both my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Social Work from the University of Houston, and I have been working in the mental health field for over ten years. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting clients through everyday stressors, emotional challenges, and difficult life transitions. In addition to my work as a therapist, I have also served as a Clinical Director, where I supervised and guided other clinicians to ensure that clients received compassionate, ethical, and high-quality care. This blend of direct clinical experience and leadership has shaped my approach as a therapist; one that is thoughtful, skilled, and deeply committed to your well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative: I may gently challenge how you see things while also helping you recognize your strengths. I truly believe you already have the ability to find your way. My job is to walk beside you and help you access that clarity. Most importantly, I’m not here to judge you. I chose therapy, not law, intentionally because I believe in healing, growth, and human connection, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. I will work with you to identify your own learning style and will incorporate that into how we approach our sessions.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, you can expect an initial assessment focused on understanding your presenting concerns, history, and treatment goals. We will review relevant background information, current stressors, and any symptoms you are experiencing to begin forming a clear clinical picture of your needs. Because our first meeting is only one hour, we may not be able to cover everything in depth, but we will focus on what feels most important to you in that moment. I may ask structured questions to assess mood, functioning, and areas of strength, while also allowing space for you to share your perspective in your own words. Together, we will begin to identify priorities for treatment and discuss a collaborative plan for moving forward so you feel informed, supported, and confident in the therapeutic process.
