Great to meet you!

My background brings a rich and multifaceted perspective to each counseling session.

Before pursuing a career in therapy, I spent some time as an entrepreneur, building successful businesses alongside my husband. This journey instilled in me a profound appreciation for resilience, creativity, and hard work.

Later, I embraced motherhood, homeschooling our four children and made the world into our classroom as we traveled to over 45 countries. These experiences broadened my perspective and deepened my empathy, shaping the compassionate approach I bring to my work with clients.

The roles of entrepreneur, wife (36 years married to the same man!), mother, and now therapist have provided me with a wealth of wisdom and life experience that enrich every counseling session.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family, exploring new destinations, hiking, swimming, mountain biking, and experimenting in the kitchen to create delicious culinary delights.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Top Down Therapy

The top-down approach in therapy refers to traditional counseling or talk therapy aimed at improving mental health, emotional well-being, and personal growth. By focusing on cognitive processes, this approach seeks to create change at the thought level, addressing the emotional and physiological impacts of negative life experiences and trauma, often manifesting as anxiety and depression. In essence, altering our thoughts and perspectives can help release the emotional pain stored in the body, promoting healing and resilience.

Bottom-up approaches

offer a pathway to healing by focusing on the body’s innate ability to self-regulate. Through practices like Polyvagal therapy, breathwork, mindfulness, and meditation, we learn to soothe the physiological stress responses that hijack our thoughts and emotions. By befriending and regulating the body, we can restore balance, break free from reactive patterns, and regain a sense of control over our inner experience.

Brain Health

Every brain cell begins on the tip of your fork.

What you eat today determines how you will mentally feel tomorrow. I use my background as a nutritionist and chef to give tips for altering your eating habits so you feel alive in mind, spirit, and body.

What you can expect from our first session

My goal is to equip you with the tools and skills to walk in long-term transformation and take ownership of your mental health. Together, we’ll develop personalized solutions to the challenges you’re facing. I believe that true freedom is within your reach, and I’m here to empower you to thrive—practically, emotionally, and spiritually.
