Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Safe Haven Mental Wellness, dedicated to supporting the mental and emotional well-being of children and adolescents ages 8–17. My practice focuses on psychiatric medication management for concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and mood-related challenges. I believe every child deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported in a safe, welcoming environment. My approach is compassionate, individualized, and family-centered, helping parents and caregivers feel informed and involved in their child’s care. At Safe Haven Mental Wellness, my mission is to provide thoughtful care in a safe space for growing minds.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based, recognizing that every child and teenager has unique needs and experiences. I focus on thoughtful psychiatric medication management, clear communication, and ongoing monitoring to support each patient’s emotional well-being and daily functioning. I believe in partnering with parents and caregivers while making sure young people feel heard, respected, and involved in their care in an age-appropriate way. At Safe Haven Mental Wellness, my goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where families feel supported and children can thrive.

What you can expect from me

During the first session at Safe Haven Mental Wellness, families can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where their concerns are heard and respected. We will discuss your child’s mental health history, current symptoms, medical background, and treatment goals to develop a better understanding of their individual needs. Parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to ask questions and share concerns, while children and teens are encouraged to participate in an age-appropriate way. Together, we will discuss appropriate treatment options, including medication management when indicated, and outline a plan tailored to your child’s needs.
