Hello, I am Melissa Jones, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), based in Georgia. I provide telehealth counseling services to clients in the state of Georgia. I work with adults experiencing stress and grief using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapies.
My approach to providing therapy is to actively listen to my clients seeking to understand their needs by showing kindness, patience, and empathy as the client works toward his/her therapeutic goals. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients challenge unhealthy thoughts and replace them with accurate ones.
From the initial session to the final session, the client will experience a welcoming, non-judgmental, safe space where they receive support and encouragement as they work toward their therapeutic goals.
