Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Melissa Jones, a licensed psychologist providing teletherapy to clients throughout CA. Much of my training and experience has been working with adults (18+) who have struggled with mood-related symptoms or episodes, stress, hallucinations, and substance misuse/addiction.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a combination of various evidence-based practices tailored toward your treatment needs. I have experience utilizing CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based approaches.

What you can expect from me

Having worked with clients who have experienced a wide range of symptoms, and at varying levels of intensity, I will bring to the sessions an understanding that everyone's experiences are unique and treatment is not one-size-fits-all. I will work from the understanding that you are the expert of yourself and tailor treatment to what will best suit your needs and particular circumstances. I utilize non-judgmental, active listening to create a safe space for you to be vulnerable and share about your authentic self.

Our intake session will focus on general introductions to each other and therapy in general, and will be more question and answer based so we can develop a plan together that best suits your needs.
