Great to meet you!
True healing happens when we honor the entire self—mind, body, and spirit. My name is Melissa, and with 25 years of experience as an acupuncturist and 9 years as a Social Worker, I offer a rare blend of Western clinical expertise including evidence-based psychology practices with Eastern somatic practices to connect you with your inner wisdom. I provide a compassionate, holistic view to see and heal the deeper connections of attachment, upbringing programming, stored trauma, spiritual searching, and daily self-management. If you are navigating anxiety, depression, or the lasting impacts of trauma, you may already notice how they manifest not just in your thoughts, but as physical tension, fatigue, or a sense of disconnection and isolation.
My therapeutic approach is deeply informed by the mind-body connection, recognizing that emotional wounds often store themselves within our physical frames. As a breast cancer survivor, I hold a deeply personal understanding of the profound impact that medical crises, life-altering diagnoses, and chronic illness have on the mind, body, and spirit. I know firsthand the complex anxiety, grief, and identity shifts that accompany these paths. Because of this, I am passionately dedicated to supporting individuals who are navigating their own cancer journeys or managing the daily realities of chronic illness. Together, we will create a safe, nurturing space to honor your fears, process the trauma of medical stress, and reclaim a sense of agency and peace within your body.
