Great to meet you!

Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of CT. I received my MSW from Fordham University and enjoy providing support and assistance to adults struggling with a large variety of mental/emotional struggles. I truly believe that everyone has the power and ability to overcome life's struggles and my job is too help them find it! I also come from a trauma focused perspective and recognize that previous trauma contributes to one's inability to recognize the control they have to improve life circumstances. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Therapy doesn't have to be scary or overwhelming. Healing begins just by talking. Talking to someone who doesn't judge, who you know has your best interest at heart, and who is really listening! Let me be that person. I am genuinely empathetic and focused on identifying all the great things about you! I believe that my purpose is too help you find your power to take control and overcome life's challenges!

My approach to therapy

My style of interaction is direct but unstructured. I like to take the time to make connection and build rapport, and am patiently waiting until you are ready to discuss the hard stuff. Interventions I utilize are derived from different treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, Solution-oriented therapy, Strengths based treatment, trauma focused treatment and various others. I am genuinely empathetic and focused on identifying all the great things about you! I believe that my purpose is too help you find your power to take control and overcome life's challenges!

What you can expect from me

I hope that you will leave session with me feeling empowered to make positive changes in your life as well as a clear idea of what to focus on or what action to take prior to our next session. Maybe I can share a different perspective or some information you didn't have before, or maybe I can just listen...be supportive...and open to hearing anything and everything you have to say! No guilt, no judgement, just talking. Let's get you to a place where you are enjoying your life more and are better able to manage when times get rough. Let's talk!
