Great to meet you!

Welcome! I established a very small private practice, Mindful Solutions Counseling and Educational Consulting, in 2016 with a focus on mindfulness techniques. I believe mindfulness can be a useful tool for anxiety, depression, stress regulation, and overall emotional wellness, and it can be effective across age groups. I provide individual therapy and have also offered groups focused on mindfulness practices such as basic mindfulness stress reduction skills, sound healing techniques, and yoga.

In addition to mindfulness-based care, I have extensive experience across therapeutic modalities and settings, including schools and clinics. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, family issues, grief and loss, women’s issues, relationship concerns, ADHD, maternal mental health, stress, divorce, moving, and other major life transitions. I often support teens, young adults, and women during meaningful or difficult seasons of change. My goal is to create a warm, personalized space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as we explore what healing and growth can look like for you.

My approach to therapy

I maintain a very small client caseload so I can create a personally tailored approach for each client. My clients often come to therapy struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship concerns, family conflict, or times of transition. My approach is client-centered, creative, and strengths-based.

I draw from mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Family Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Psychoeducational Family Therapy, Art Therapy, Bowen Family Systems, Solution Focused Couples Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Depending on your needs, our work may focus on stress reduction, emotional regulation, communication, coping skills, family patterns, relationship dynamics, grief, identity, or building healthier routines. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will work together to discover the strengths that can help you create meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to feel seen, heard, and supported as the healing process begins. In our first session, we will talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been difficult recently, and what you hope will feel different moving forward.

You can expect a warm, empowering, and creative approach that is tailored to your needs and goals. I will work with you to identify your strengths, better understand patterns that may be contributing to stress or emotional pain, and develop practical tools that support your daily life.
