Great to meet you!

My path to becoming a therapist began in the medical field, where I worked as a vocational nurse and developed a deep appreciation for the connection between physical and emotional well-being. Over time, I felt drawn toward a different way of supporting healing—one that considered the whole person and the ways our minds, bodies, relationships, and experiences are interconnected. This led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and a career in mental health.

My experience includes working primarily with individuals who have experienced trauma. I incorporate a bottom-up, mind-body approach that recognizes that healing is not always achieved through insight alone. Together, we can develop greater awareness of the body and nervous system while exploring the thoughts, emotions, relationships, and experiences that shape how you move through the world.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful therapy considers the whole person—mind, body, relationships, history, environment, and the experiences that have shaped you. I use a bottom-up, mind-body approach to help clients develop greater awareness of their nervous system, emotions, and patterns of responding. Sometimes we understand our experiences intellectually but still feel stuck; therapy can create space to slow down, build safety, and explore what is happening beneath the surface.

I work primarily with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, codependency, relationships, and life transitions. I especially value working with women and LGBTQ+ clients and strive to create an affirming, nonjudgmental space where you can explore who you are and what you need. Together, we can build greater self-compassion, connection, and agency while moving toward a life that feels more authentic, grounded, and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another and begin creating a safe, comfortable space for you to be yourself. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to understand or change, and what you need from this process. I’ll meet you with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment.

Your voice is the most important voice in your healing. You get to be in the captain’s seat—I’m here to walk alongside you, offer support and perspective, and help you develop the tools and awareness to move toward the life you want. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe and meaningful for you, together identifying goals and building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, autonomy, and collaboration.
