Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Melissa! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who believes therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who's genuinely in your corner. I earned my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and began working as a therapist immediately after graduation, following extensive internship experience providing both individual and group therapy. Today, I work with adults experiencing anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship concerns, maternal mental health challenges, depression, and stress. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment—while we work together to build practical skills, gain insight, and help you feel more like yourself again.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to you. I believe insight is important, but real change happens when we turn that insight into action, so you'll leave sessions with tools you can actually use in everyday life. I'll challenge you when it helps you grow, cheer you on when you need encouragement, and, if it's your style, sprinkle in a little humor along the way. I also take a holistic approach, recognizing that our mental health is deeply connected to our relationships, physical well-being, environment, and daily habits. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you feel safe enough to be honest, empowered enough to make meaningful changes, and confident enough to become your own greatest advocate.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about getting to know you—not just the challenges that brought you to therapy, but the person behind them. We'll talk about what's been going on, what you're hoping to gain from therapy, and any questions or concerns you have about the process. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and never judged. By the end of our session, we'll begin identifying meaningful goals and create a plan that feels realistic, collaborative, and tailored to your needs so you leave with a clear sense of direction and hope.
