Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Melissa, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida! I have been in practice for 3 years, and I primarily work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. My specialities consist of helping my clients navigate life transitions, neurodivergence, relationship issues, LGBTQ+ experiences, anxiety, and depression. Using various therapeutic interventions, I help clients better understand their thoughts and patterns, develop useful coping skills, and move toward goals that feel authentic and achievable.

Outside of my practice, I am an avid outdoors person and love spending time with my family and 3 furkids (2 dogs and 1 cat)! I also enjoy golfing, going to Disney, and building LEGO sets!

My approach to therapy

I offer a laid-back, supportive space where adolescents, adults, and couples can show up as they are. My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, meaning we’ll build on what’s already working while exploring practical ways to create meaningful change. I also understand therapy is not a "one-size-fits-all" approach and I enjoy being creative in all therapeutic interventions I utilize.

Whether you’re adjusting to a new chapter, feeling overwhelmed or stuck, exploring your identity, or hoping to strengthen your relationship, we’ll work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a relaxed, judgment-free space where we’ll get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. We’ll explore your goals, strengths, current challenges, and relevant background at a pace that feels comfortable. I’ll also explain my therapeutic approach and answer any questions you may have. Together, we’ll begin creating a plan tailored to your needs and what you hope to gain from therapy.
