Great to meet you!

About me

Sometimes the challenges you are facing can feel connected in ways that are difficult to untangle. Anxiety and depression may affect your relationships, family dynamics can add to everyday stress, and living with chronic health conditions can bring emotional challenges that others may not always understand. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors experiencing anxiety, depression, family issues, relationship issues, and chronic conditions. These experiences can also intersect with grief and loss, trauma, cultural expectations, identity concerns, LGBTQIA+ issues, women's issues, or the emotional impact of physical health challenges. With 18 years of experience, I understand that each person brings a unique combination of experiences, relationships, and responsibilities into therapy. You deserve a space where all of those pieces can be understood rather than treated separately. Together, we can explore what has been weighing on you, strengthen your relationships, and develop healthier ways of navigating life's challenges.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy

Our work will make room for both the person you are and the relationships, family dynamics, health experiences, and life circumstances that have shaped you. We'll explore how anxiety, depression, family issues, relationship difficulties, and chronic conditions may be affecting your emotional wellbeing and your connections with the people around you. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize patterns in thoughts and behaviors that contribute to distress and develop healthier ways of responding, the Unified Protocol to help you better understand and manage difficult emotions, and Motivational Interviewing to explore change while strengthening your confidence in your own decisions. Narrative Therapy can help you examine the stories you have developed about yourself and your experiences, while Solution Focused Brief Therapy can help identify your existing strengths and translate your goals into practical steps forward. When family or relationship dynamics are part of what brings you to therapy, Structural and Strategic Family Therapy can help us better understand interaction patterns and work toward healthier communication and connections. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your individual needs, recognizing that meaningful progress often involves both personal growth and changes in the relationships and environments around you.

What you can expect from me

What you can expect from me

You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. During our first few sessions, we will spend time understanding what brought you here, the challenges you have been navigating, and what you hope will feel different in your life. Together, we will establish goals that reflect your needs and priorities, whether that means improving emotional wellbeing, strengthening family relationships, managing the stress of chronic health conditions, or developing healthier ways to cope with everyday challenges. You can expect me to listen with warmth and curiosity, respect your individual experiences, and create a space where you and your family can feel heard without judgment. Progress may look like feeling less overwhelmed by anxiety, reconnecting with yourself when depression feels heavy, communicating more effectively with loved ones, navigating family challenges with greater confidence, or feeling more emotionally supported while managing ongoing health concerns. We will continue checking in on your goals and adjusting our work as your needs evolve. When you are ready, you can schedule your first session with me through Headway.
