Great to meet you!

Welcome to my profile. Searching for a therapist may be challenging and this is an excellent tool to begin the journey. I've been working in the mental health professor for over 14 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and over 2 years as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). I've also enjoyed teaching at a community college in the field of Addiction Studies for the past 11 years. Every day I work towards a common goal -- to be the best version of myself!

My approach to therapy

While I incorporate integrated therapy in my practice, modifying standard treatments to fill in developmental gaps, my "go to" models include the following: Positive Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Stress Management, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My approach is to "building on your strengths" rather than "fixing what is wrong." I keep myself versed in best practices regarding depression, anxiety, stress and addiction.

What you can expect from me

I am here to help you feel good about yourself, to encourage your determination to change, to support self-efficacy, to help you build resilience. It feels good to care and love yourself, to incorporate stability and structure in your life, to build on your strengths. The take-away from working with a mental health therapist is to grasp the tools needed to manage whatever symptoms are preventing you from having a good relationship with yourself and the ones you love. Let's begin!
