Great to meet you!

I am a PhD and dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of clinical experience across primary care, telemedicine, clinical research, and leadership. My educational background includes a PhD, advanced practice certification as an FNP (2005), and a post-master’s PMHNP certification completed in 2025. I am also a Certified Nurse Educator.

My training bridges both physical and mental health, allowing me to approach care holistically and thoughtfully. I have a particular clinical focus in the treatment of anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), in addition to major depressive disorder, adjustment disorders, substance use and eating disorders. I am especially passionate about helping patients who feel stuck in cycles of worry, intrusive thoughts, or mood instability find clarity and sustainable relief.

My approach to therapy

I practice evidence-based, measurement-informed care with a strong foundation in psychopharmacology and collaborative treatment planning. My goal is to create a thoughtful, supportive space where patients feel understood, respected, and actively engaged in their care. If you are seeking treatment for ADHD, please be aware that stimulant medications such as Adderall, Ritalin, and Vyvanse are Schedule II controlled substances and cannot be prescribed via telehealth under Texas law. If you are scheduling a visit to obtain a stimulant medication, you will need to seek care from an external, in-person provider.

What you can expect from me

Our sessions are collaborative, structured, and focused on your goals. I take time to understand your full story, including how your mental and physical health interact, and we develop a clear, evidence-based plan together with measurable outcomes.

If medication is part of treatment, I provide thorough education and ongoing monitoring, so you feel informed and confident in your care. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where we can work toward meaningful, sustainable progress.
