Melissa is a board certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner providing compassionate, empathetic psychiatric services to children, adolescents and young adults (8+). She is an expert in the field of adolescent psychiatry, utilizing a non-judgmental, evidence-based approach to compassionately care for patients with a variety of psychiatric disorders.

My approach to therapy

Her practice focuses on depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, obsessive compulsive disorders & eating disorders. Melissa is LGBTQ and health at every size aligned. Melissa comes to BWC with over 12 years of nursing experience in pediatric oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She now utilizing her training from New York University as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner caring for adolescents (13-18) on an inpatient psychiatric unit.
