Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Melissa, an Arizona native with a passion for helping others. Outside of my work, I enjoy reading, pickleball, and running, which help me stay energized and balanced. I’m also a proud parent of four amazing children, ranging in age from 3 to 15, so life is always busy and full. I currently offer Telehealth appointments in the evenings, with limited weekend availability, to better accommodate diverse schedules.

My approach to therapy

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University in 2017. One of the aspects I value most about social work is the opportunity to serve individuals across diverse settings and life experiences. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with individuals experiencing homelessness, veterans, women, children, and teens, supporting concerns such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, substance use, eating disorders, developmental delays, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and body dysmorphia.

My clinical training includes Sand Tray Therapy, Theraplay, Play Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Suicide Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. I also offer Christian and spiritual counseling for clients who wish to incorporate faith into their therapeutic process.

Drawing from my experience and ongoing professional development, my approach is client-centered, collaborative, and compassionate. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I am committed to continuing education to ensure I am meeting the evolving needs of those I serve.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions together, clients can expect a collaborative and compassionate approach. I take time to understand your unique experiences, strengths, and goals, and we work together to develop a treatment plan that feels meaningful and achievable. Sessions are paced to meet your comfort level, allowing space for reflection, skill-building, and growth. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel supported, respected, and empowered to explore challenges and build practical tools for lasting change.
