Melissa Yost

Melissa helps women blossom by enhancing self esteem and emotional functioning through somatic-based practices. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Trauma-Informed Yoga Instructor with advanced certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Melissa integrates holistic and somatic techniques to address anxiety and improve daily functioning.

Melissa completed her MSW at Boston University and holds a BA in Psychology from Boston College. Melissa's strengths are best matched with clients who are eager to learn and grow.

Therapy with Melissa will involve co-developing specific, actionable goals to answer the question, "What needs to change in order for me to feel empowered and confident to speak my truth?" Each session will build upon these goals using evidence-based treatment approaches such as EMDR. This is not talk therapy: we are here to work together to create real and lasting change!

EMDR helps people quickly overcome anxiety-driven mental blocks such as perfectionism, allowing you to unlock your full potential. Melissa also works with women who struggle with boundary-setting, self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. Trauma and PTSD histories will be evaluated and treated within the brief therapy model. Melissa will refer individuals with higher trauma loads to receive co-occuring or sequential therapy with a dedicated trauma therapist.
