Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) and Board Certified Hypnotherapist based in Madison, TN, with 16 years in practice. I hold a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and am a certified hypnotherapist through the National Guild of Hypnotists. I'm also an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, so I train and supervise other clinicians in addition to seeing clients myself.

I work with adults and families around addiction, trauma and PTSD, and impulse control disorders, along with anxiety, low self-esteem, mood disorders, OCD, relationship issues, and compulsive or disruptive patterns. Hypnotherapy and Internal Family Sytems are my favorite modalities.

I offer both in-person sessions (at Watershed Wellness Cooperative in Madison) and telehealth, with daytime, evening, and weekend availability.

My approach to therapy

My approach is holistic, client centered, and relationa. I meet you where you are and tailor the work to what you actually need rather than applying one model to everyone. I draw from a range of modalities including Internal Family Systems, family systems theory, psychodynamic and Jungian work, mindfulness based approaches, and solution focused brief therapy, choosing the mix based on the individual.

I also use experiential and body based methods to make the work more efficient. This can include hypnotherapy, walking or movement based sessions, and traditional talk therapy. Hypnotherapy in particular is a strength of mine and something I use for anxiety, trauma, phobias, low self-esteem, smoking cessation, weight loss, and other patterns that come up in treatment. My goal is both quick relief for what's happening now and lasting change in longstanding patterns, helping you gain insight from your past, address trauma at the root, and build toward your full potential.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about getting to know each other and making sure it's a good fit. We'll talk through what's bringing you to therapy right now, your history and goals, and I'll walk you through the different modalities I use so you understand your options and feel comfortable with the pace. It's a low pressure, supportive conversation, not a rigid intake script. From there we'll start shaping a treatment plan together based on what you actually want out of the work.
