Great to meet you!

Sometimes life feels heavier than you expected. You may be struggling with anxiety, feeling disconnected from yourself or others, navigating a difficult transition, or noticing that past experiences still affect how you feel today. You don’t have to know exactly what’s wrong—or how to explain it—to begin therapy.

I’m Melitta Hirsch, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor with over 12 years of clinical experience. I support adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and life changes. Together, we’ll explore what’s bringing you to therapy, what matters to you, and what you’d like to feel different in your life.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I offer a space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and work through difficult experiences without judgment. I’m also direct and practical, helping you recognize patterns and develop tools you can use outside our sessions. My approach is trauma-informed and draws on EMDR and other therapeutic approaches based on your needs, comfort, and goals.

What you can expect from me

Our work may include learning to manage overwhelming emotions, setting boundaries, improving communication, or processing experiences that have left you feeling stuck. We’ll make room for understanding your story while taking manageable steps toward change.

You don’t have to carry everything alone. We’ll start where you are.
