Great to meet you!

I am an empathic, strength-based, and trauma-informed counselor who creates a safe, affirming space for clients to feel seen, heard, and supported. My approach focuses on helping individuals recognize their resilience, gain clarity, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels comfortable for them.

Before entering the counseling field, I worked as a Casting Director and later as a Volunteer and Housing Supervisor. These roles strengthened my ability to understand people’s stories, navigate complex situations, and offer compassion during times of transition—skills I bring into every session.

I have experience working with veterans, first responders, and individuals facing trauma, substance use, homelessness, anxiety, and depression. My practice centers on practical coping skills, mindfulness-based tools, and collaborative goal-setting to help clients build confidence and long-term well-being.

At Validation Counseling Services, my commitment is to meet clients exactly where they are and walk alongside them as they heal, grow, and reclaim their sense of self.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is empathic, strength-based, and trauma-informed. I believe in meeting clients where they are and honoring the trust they extend when beginning this work. I strive to create a supportive, grounded environment where you feel understood and empowered to explore your experiences at your own pace. I view therapy as a collaborative process, and I tailor my work to your goals, values, and strengths so we can move toward growth in a way that feels meaningful for you.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming space that acknowledges the openness you’ve already shown in sharing your intake information. I will offer a brief introduction about myself and my approach so you feel comfortable with who you are sitting with. We will review confidentiality and its limits, address any questions, and explore what brings you to therapy at this time. We’ll also begin identifying your goals and discuss what future sessions will look like. My aim is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and confident about the path ahead.
