Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Mercedes. I’m a bilingual (English | Spanish) psychotherapist who supports individuals navigating complex trauma, including experiences of abuse, migration, and high-stress life transitions.

I understand how heavy it can feel to carry pain that others may not fully see especially when you’ve had to stay strong on your own for so long. My goal is to create a space where you can exhale, feel truly understood, and begin to heal in a way that honors both your story and your cultural identity.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, culturally rooted, and grounded in compassion. I believe with the right support, we can all thrive. I have extensive experience working with individuals and families who have experienced a major life change and are dealing with the aftermath and symptoms of these major changes.

I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Mindfulness, among others.

What you can expect from me

Clients often describe me as empathetic, authentic, and gently challenging. I create a space where you can be yourself without judgment where your pain is honored, your resilience is celebrated, and your growth is supported at your pace.
