Great to meet you!

I’m Mercy Asare, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), and I work with adults and older adults who may be navigating a difficult season, major life transition, or simply feeling unlike themselves. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other mental health concerns. My goal is to create a space that feels compassionate, supportive, and empowering, where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without fear of judgment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is personalized and collaborative. I combine evidence-based treatment with a holistic perspective, taking time to understand how your mental health, relationships, daily life, and overall well-being connect. Depending on your needs, care may include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, supportive therapy, or a combination of approaches. I became a prescriber because I wanted to help people move from feeling overwhelmed or stuck toward greater clarity, stability, and confidence in their lives.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a thoughtful conversation about what brings you in, your history, your goals, and what you hope will feel different. We’ll work together to develop a treatment plan that feels right for you. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. I’m here to meet you where you are and support you along the way.
