Great to meet you!

I'm Mercy Flores Isaac, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) serving adults across California via telehealth. I work with people who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, and self-esteem concerns — people who are often high-functioning on the outside but exhausted on the inside.

I'm direct, warm, and genuinely collaborative. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so I'll adapt our work to what actually fits your life, your pace, and your goals. I accept most major insurance plans including Aetna, Cigna, Blue Shield of California, and Anthem Blue Cross, so accessing support shouldn't add to your stress.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices — primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and solution-focused techniques — but it always starts with listening. I believe insight alone isn't enough; you need real, practical strategies you can take into your daily life. Our sessions won't just be a place to vent (though that's welcome too) — they'll be a place to shift patterns, build skills, and create lasting change.

I work with individuals and couples, and I'm comfortable addressing both short-term stressors and deeper, longer-standing patterns. Whether you're managing a life transition, recovering from a difficult relationship, or trying to understand why anxiety keeps showing up — I'm here for all of it.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a conversation — not an intake form you have to get through. I'll ask about what's been going on, what you've tried before, and what you're hoping therapy will look like for you. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before we start.

My goal for the first session is simple: I want you to leave feeling heard and with a clearer sense of what working together could look like. We'll talk about your goals, what matters most to you right now, and how often we should meet. Most clients leave the first session with a sense of relief — and a concrete next step.
