Great to meet you!

Applying a holistic perspective that acknowledges the mind-body connection, I utilize multiple modalities, including DBT, CBT, somatic healing, EMDR, and EFT. I am certified in integrative nutrition for mental health and have completed yoga teacher training. Additionally, I have a Ph.D. in Gender Studies that supports an advanced awareness of human identities and sexualities, gendered social diseases, and social systems.

My approach to therapy

Caring for ourselves in a disordered world can be extremely challenging, resulting in many of us developing burnout, anxiety, limiting beliefs, relationship difficulties, and self-destructive tendencies. I support clients in healing nervous system dysregulation caused by trauma, dissociation, and overstimulation. In increasing awareness of cognitive distortions systems and processing trauma, clients come to optimize their relationship with themselves and the people around them. I support individuals, couples, and families in learning how to better care for themselves and ultimately heal.

What you can expect from me

I believe you are the expert of your own life, so counseling starts with you sharing your history, experiences, and perspectives. I take a bottom-up approach to therapy, so creating safety and stabilization in addition to a therapeutic relationship is crucial. Once that is in place, we can do more complex work, including trauma healing and shifting mindsets.
