Great to meet you!

It is my firm belief you are the expert in determining what steps you will take to move forward in a positive direction. I've been working in this field for 12 years, and in that time, I have learned that most people already have the answers to most questions about themselves, their life, and their challenges. Most of us simply need a little guidance and encouragement to find those answers. Together, we will develop a therapeutic alliance that is built on trust, honesty, and integrity. When appropriate, I believe we should laugh, though I also want you to understand how seriously I take my job and how much I want you to feel you have autonomy in your own your life, and that includes therapy.

My approach to therapy

Taking the step to seek therapy is courageous. I will be here to encourage you and assist you in finding new ways to deal with challenges or help you find new ways to look at struggles so they no longer feel insurmountable.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, I want you to be comfortable, first and foremost. It is most important to me that you feel safe to share whatever parts of your life that you want to share. I won't push you to discuss things you are not yet ready to discuss. My style is very conversational and laid-back, though I want you to know how seriously I take the honor of working with you as you navigate therapy.
