Great to meet you!

I have worked with teens and parents for over 25 years and have guided them through some of their toughest moments. I am particularly passionate about guiding people through transitions – relationship loss, grief, divorce, leaving home or moving, going to college, and starting a new job. I know how valuable seeking support and prioritizing well-being can be.

I received my PhD in Counseling Psychology from Boston College in 2007 and my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in 1998.

My approach to therapy

I am warm and supportive yet direct. I think therapy is a wonderful tool and I want my clients to get the most out of it. I like to listen, of course, but to also give clients things to think about that they may not have considered before. I also like to work with them on figuring out why they may be stuck and how to feel better as soon as possible.

What you can expect from me

I will want to know what made you decide to start therapy at this time and what you're hoping to work on. I'll ask some questions to guide the conversation if that is easier for you - or you can just tell me about you. We'll wrap up with some action steps and decide when we should meet again.
