Great to meet you!

With nearly two decades of experience in the mental health field, I provide a seasoned, compassionate approach to healing the most important connections in your life—including the one you have with yourself. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I have dedicated my career to helping people navigate the complexities of human relationships and personal growth with clarity and resilience.

I offer several options for therapy including:

  • Individual Therapy: I partner with adults to navigate personal transitions, anxiety, and the lingering effects of trauma or addiction. We work together to build a stronger sense of self and emotional regulation.
  • Marriage & Couples Counseling: I specialize in helping couples break cycles of conflict, recover from infidelity, and rebuild intimacy through improved communication and trust.
  • Family Therapy: I work with the entire family system to address grief, relational shifts, and systemic challenges, fostering a home environment where everyone feels heard.
  • Trauma & Relational Focus: My expertise in Relational Issues ensures that we aren't just looking at symptoms, but at the patterns that keep you from the life you want.

My approach to therapy

Whether you are seeking support as an individual, a partner, or a family unit, I believe that our history often informs our present. My goal is to help you move beyond "just getting by" and into a space of genuine connection and emotional freedom.

Because I am fully EMDR Certified and TF-CBT Certified, I integrate advanced, evidence-based trauma recovery tools into our sessions. This allows us to address the deep-seated wounds or "stuck" patterns that traditional talk therapy might miss.

Areas of Practice

What you can expect from me

Taking the first step into therapy can feel overwhelming, but our first meeting is designed to be a collaborative, low-pressure space where we can get to know each other. Here is what our initial 50-60 minute session typically looks like:

1. Building a foundation

We will briefly review the "housekeeping"—confidentiality, practice policies, and any questions you have about the therapeutic process. This ensures we have a clear, professional framework for our work together.

2. Sharing Your Story

This is your time to be heard. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy at this specific moment.

  • For Individuals: We’ll discuss your current challenges and personal history.
  • For Couples & Families: I provide a balanced space where every voice is heard, helping me observe the relational dynamics currently in play.

3. Identifying Goals

We won’t just talk about the problems; we’ll start looking for the exit signs. Based on my nearly two decades of experience, I will help you narrow down exactly what "success" looks like for you.

4. A Glimpse into the Work

By the end of the session, I want you to have a sense of my style. I am an active participant in the room—I offer insights, ask clarifying questions, and may suggest how tools like TF-CBT or EMDR might fit into our future sessions.

5. Deciding on the "Fit"

The "therapeutic alliance" is the greatest predictor of success. At the end of our first meeting, we will decide together if I am the right person to help you reach your goals. If we move forward, we’ll discuss a tentative frequency for our meetings.
