Great to meet you!

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a strong foundation in both mental health and acute care. My background includes years of experience in emergency and trauma settings, where I developed a deep understanding of how mental and physical health intersect—especially during times of crisis.

I specialize in treating conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and personality disorders. My approach is individualized and collaborative, combining medication management with therapeutic support to help you reach your goals. I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your care.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked extensively as a registered nurse in emergency, electrophysiology, and surgical settings. This experience allows me to assess patients holistically and respond effectively to both complex and high-acuity needs.

My goal is simple: to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that supports your mental wellness and overall quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, individualized, and rooted in both compassion and clinical expertise. I believe that effective mental health treatment starts with truly listening—understanding your experiences, your goals, and what matters most to you.

I take a holistic approach, recognizing the connection between mental and physical health. Together, we’ll develop a treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, and practical strategies to help you navigate daily challenges. I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being open and honest.

My style is direct yet supportive. I value transparency, education, and shared decision-making, so you feel informed and empowered throughout your care. With my background in emergency and high-acuity settings, I’m also skilled at helping clients through periods of crisis, emotional overwhelm, and significant life stressors.

I have experience treating a range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and personality disorders, as well as working with individuals navigating trauma, substance use, and major life transitions.

Above all, my goal is to help you feel more stable, more in control, and better equipped to move forward with confidence.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my priority is getting to know you—your story, your concerns, and what’s bringing you in. We’ll talk through your current symptoms, mental health history, medical background, and any past treatments, as well as what has or hasn’t worked for you before.

Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals for treatment, whether that’s reducing anxiety or depression, improving sleep, managing stress, processing past experiences, or simply feeling more like yourself again. If appropriate, we’ll also discuss treatment options, including whether medication may be helpful, and I’ll answer any questions you have so you feel informed and confident moving forward. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of what’s going on, an initial plan tailored to your needs, and a sense of direction for next steps.
