Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over eight years of experience providing mental health support in an elementary school serving a low-income community. Before transitioning into the school setting, I worked in case management, partnering with children and families facing a variety of mental health challenges.

Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for helping individuals build resilience, navigate life’s challenges, and improve their overall emotional well-being. I am currently expanding into private practice, where I work with adolescents and adults who are experiencing stress, anxiety, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to develop healthy coping strategies, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

My approach to therapy

I believe that every individual has the strength and capacity for growth, even during life’s most difficult seasons. My role as a therapist is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore the challenges you are facing.

I take a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy, recognizing that each person’s experiences, strengths, and goals are unique. Together, we will identify the obstacles that may be keeping you from living the life you want while building practical tools and healthy coping strategies to promote lasting emotional well-being.

Drawing from my years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, I understand how stress, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions can impact every aspect of daily life. I strive to meet each client where they are, offering compassion, encouragement, and evidence-based interventions tailored to their individual needs.

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety or depression, navigating a major life change, or simply seeking personal growth, my goal is to help you gain insight, build resilience, and develop the confidence to move forward with greater clarity and purpose. Therapy is a journey, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they discover their strengths and create meaningful, positive change.

What you can expect from me

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and it’s natural to have questions or uncertainties about what to expect. My goal is to make your first session as comfortable, supportive, and stress-free as possible.

During our initial appointment, we will spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. You will have the opportunity to share your concerns, challenges, goals, and any significant experiences that may be impacting your emotional well-being. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I will ask questions about various aspects of your life, including your personal history, relationships, support systems, and current stressors. This information helps me gain a better understanding of your unique situation and allows us to begin identifying goals for our work together.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether I am the right fit for your needs. Therapy is most effective when there is a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and mutual respect.

By the end of our session, we will discuss your goals for therapy, explore potential areas of focus, and develop a plan for moving forward. My priority is to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout your therapeutic journey.
