My name is Dr. Mersedeh Cartwright Ed.D, LPC. I have over 19 years of experience working in a variety of settings with adolescents, adults, couples and families. I enjoy working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, self-esteem issues and crisis management.
Life presents us with a variety of situations everyday that can be challenging, but it's not the situation itself that impacts our lives, it's the way we perceive it and handle it, that determines the impact it has on our lives. I utilize a combination of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy and mindfulness to help individuals discover new ways to cope with life challenges and move forward towards a more satisfying life.
During our first session, we will get to know each other better by discussing my approach, reviewing the initial paperwork and discussing the situation and current symptoms further. We will start to discuss the therapeutic goals.
