Mervin Cleveland

In life, we all face struggles and challenges. I provide therapy for children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics to assist clients through those difficult times. I have worked with mental health clients for the past 17 years, in the past 10 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I also have experience in working with those who are or have been part of the foster care system, criminal justice system and residential behavioral treatment centers.

My specialties include counseling for anger management, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, developing appropriate life coping skills, and goal setting. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral and Person-Centered Therapy

My goal is to provide a safe and warm environment, where my client can feel comfortable to explore the past, gain personal insight and make positive changes when necessary. When working with my clients, developing a strong working relationship is most important.
